Leather made accessories with military touch inspired by a pilot bag for storing maps, supplied for Army Air Forces in World War II.

Leather made accessories with military touch inspired by PILOTS NAVIGATION KIT BAG.

Tanned cow steerhide leather is dyed and colored by pigments, with embossed square grain pattern. Processed to soften the grains. Matte finish gives cool impression at first, but in time it fades to show the natural shine. And colored pigments are also peeled off to display the color underneath them.

Gold “LUGGAGE LABEL” logo is embossed on front, standing out against the dark colored body. Edges of the round shaped corners are turned.

On edge turn, methods like “Kikuyose” (to create pleats on corners) are usually adopted to achieve a perfect beauty using thinned out leather. However this model uses thick leather to express an unrefined image of PILOTS NAVIGATION KIT BAG, although the pleating process gets more difficult. Strong polyester yarn is used for sewing, the No. 8 yarn has cotton-like touch with bulkiness. Since this yarn is coarse, it is regularly used to sew bags.

Cotton twill is used for the lining. Original tag exclusive for this series is inspired by a MIL SPEC tag. Heavy-looking injection zipper is used for smoother opening and closing than regular metal zipper, enhancing originality to the product.
